1981–2021 Career Highlights for 2021
Daniel P Quinn’s plays first appeared in “Short Plays to Long Remember” and then became part of AMERICAN PHANTASMAGORIA (Lulu.com). The Montclair Times praised his “Exits & Entrances: Off-Broadway, Opera, “ (Author House), and The Bergen Record featured “organized labor” as well.
Mr. Quinn was also an Adjudicator/Lecturer at SUNY/Brockport, Brooklyn College, and Rutgers University. His work was also seen at Morris Museum, and many book signings at Fair Lawn, Belleville, and Nutley Libraries.
His Off-Broadway productions included Edward Bond’s DEREK at the Mitzi Newhouse Theatre, Lincoln Center. Irish Institute Award for John Maguire’s 1877 melodrama HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY; Lincoln Center Library has a copy in their Theatre Collection. Short Play Festival Award Samuel French; OBIE Award as co/producer for DIARY OF A MADMAN w/Tim McDonnell: Irish Arts Center all in NYC. At Essex County College Quinn was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation, Newark, NJ. Catholic Charities Award for “We Care” services for AIDS, Montclair, NJ. Garibaldi-Meucci Museum, Snug Harbor, Irish Arts Center, Lincoln Center, Caldwell College, NJPAC, Bridgeton Poetry Center, Italian-American Museum; Paterson Museum, American Labor Museum, Passaic County College, Pointers Society, Elmwood Pk, NJ, Passaic County Historical Society at Lambert Castle, Caldwell College, Grover Cleveland Birthplace, Caldwell, NJ, Center for Italian and Italian-American Culture, among others.
