Celebrate with your New Jersey Symphony at the annual holiday tradition of Handel’s Messiah!
Next Weekend! Handel’s Messiah
Tickets Selling Fast! Sunday, December 17 at 7 pm | Cathedral Basilica of the
Sacred Heart in Newark
Join us as the Symphony performs this great holiday tradition! Nicholas McGegan will conduct Handel’s incomparable classic Messiah. Joining McGegan and the musicians will be the talented singers of Montclair State University, who will delight audiences as they sing the glorious “Hallelujah Chorus.”
“McGegan was a wonderful conductor at NJSO for a Beethoven baroque program, whom I highly recommend for this MESSIAH. Please let me know if you are coming as I will hold a pre-performance reception from 2 2–5pm here in my studio apartment as well.
Afterwards, I would do a on-site talk and tour on the history of the Cathedral for which my uncle was also a stone cutter and engraver from 1890–1950 when it opened”.
